Eyeliner-wise, 2016 seems to have been the year of the bold and the beautiful, with our favorite celebs going in for bold, thick, striking lines and lots of mascara while lining their eyes. Here are our top 6 picks out of the best eyeliner looks we found this year:
#1: Gigi Hadid's look on the Jimmy Fallon Show
The International Model of the Year, 2016 sure shows us how to wing it! She's made a thick, bold swipe from the inner corner of her eye to the outer tip. Then she's added mascara to complete the look.
#2: Bipasha Basu's Wedding Day Look
The beautiful bride made her eyes stand out with thick mascara and a bold wing on her upper lash line. She had also added kohl in the inner corner of her lower waterline to give it a soft, smudged finish.
#3: Kim Kardashian's Look at the Cannes Film Festival, 2016
Kim Kardashian's 'under-eye flipped smokey cat eye' at Cannes 2016 was simply too good. Great smokey eye inspiration from 2016!
#4: Kendall Jenner's Look on Vogue, Japan
Kendall seems to have had quite a year, appearing on the covers of loads of Vogue issues (we counted 5). In this one, she's gone for an intense smokey look on her lower lash line. The lower lash line is fully lined while on the the upper line she's gone halfway.

We've always been fans of Adele's bold yet subtle eyeliner styles. She began her 2016 tour this year with her album '25'. As she takes her album across the world, she chooses to go for bold,thick, liner on her upper lash line and loads of mascara. She smudges a small amount outwards on her lower lash line to create a soft, smokey effect.
#6 Anushka Sharma's Look in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Another look that inspired many a beauty blogger this year was that of Anushka Sharma's in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. We loved her deep black, kohl-rimmed eyes! She fully lined her eyes with dark kohl and smoked it out on her upper and lower eyelids to get a striking smokey effect. A real stunner.
