Oily smell nearly expired. Cleanser was somewhat forms an odd layer

My skin type- Combination to normal (which becomes dry as desert in winters, the time I used the said products)
Moisturizer- does have Matt finish, but it's not 'super' hydrating for dry skin.
Balm- waxy, crystalline texture.
Better apply moisturizer after cleansing with balm as soon as possible. Or else skin feels dry.
