Heya, folks! Over the last few weeks, you probably saw (Gods of Instagram willing) lots of celebrities and everyday-people with bunny filters wishing Plum on turning PETA-approved vegan. So what's this all about? Wasn't Plum already vegan? And what exactly does PETA-approved mean for you? Read on, bunnies!
First up: hasn't Plum always been cruelty-free and vegan?
Yes. We always have been, and always will be, a proudly cruelty-free and 100% vegan brand. Besides being paraben-free and nasties-free in general. That stays!
So what does PETA-approved cruelty-free and vegan mean?
It means that Plum follows PETA's requirements for sourcing its ingredients and finished products from its vendors. Specifically, these requirements forbid any party from conducting or commissioning animal testing for finished products or ingredients. Plum now mandates its suppliers to do so.
That's awesome. What else happens with the PETA association?
We at Plum are really excited to work with PETA, who we think are a bunch of committed and passionate folks that aren't afraid to speak their mind. We do hope to partner with PETA in more ways to make this world a happier place for our furry friends.
Cool. That's a lot of happier bunnies, I suppose?
You bet! That's what gave us the idea for a lot of you spreading the message of kindness - bunny filter on! Here's a look at just some of those adorable moments... until next time, then! Keep calm, be good!
